It has been a hive of activity in the Fox class this week as we delved into our Roman topic. The children thoroughly enjoyed finding out new information about who the Romans were and where they came from. We have linked this knowledge with our English as we began to write our diary entry about a voyage on a galley. Children linked conjunctions for cause and effect with time conjunctions to write some impressive opening sentences. In maths, Foxes have been exploring place value up to 100,000 with the use of visuals and manipulatives again. They have ‘blown me away’ with their enthusiasm for number. The best part of the week had to be our visiting Boogie Bounce instructor – the children had a marvellous time in the sunshine. Just take a look at the photographs. I am sure you will be tempted to have a go yourself! Well done Foxes on another fantastic week of learning.
