The children and adults were not expecting what lay in store on the playground Tuesday afternoon. They thought their task was to sing a carol or two before going home; how little did they know that Santa was waiting on a steam engine accompanied by the musical entertainment from a mechanical organ. This set the scene for a magical carol service in which the children, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles joined us for some traditional carols. It all ended with a warm drink and a well deserved mince pie.
Fox class went on to join the residents at Heron Lodge for another sing a long on our last day of term, This was a great opportunity to spread the Christmas cheer. The residents thoroughly enjoyed it and sang along with us too.

The curtain went up on Thursday afternoon for the star studded cast of Horning Primary. The children may as well have been on a West End stage because they performed as if they were. No one could have asked for anything more. There were laughs, claps, cheers and the odd boo, all in the name of theatre. It was clear to see from the smiles, sheer joy, collaboration and their singing that everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Caesar summed it up with his comment of ‘celestial’
The Smallest Sheep thought it was perfection
Funky Camel dug it all the way to the end!
And the crowds gave it a 10 – Best show EVER! High praise we thought.
It will certainly be a difficult act to follow.
Well done Horning you were fab-u-lous!
