Otter Class Weekly Update 07/07/2023

We have had another busy week in Otter class. In English we are continuing our story Lucy and Tom at the seaside and the children described their walk down to the beach carrying everything they need for a fabulous beach trip.

Year 2s had their transition into Fox class which they thoroughly enjoyed as they prepare for the next step in their education journey, and the rest of us welcomed the new starters for the 2023/24 school year.

In topic, we have been looking at life cycles of animals, in particular, chickens. We had some hen eggs in our incubator, but unfortunately none of them have hatched.

The children have really enjoyed their forest school sessions too, and have been practising their behaviour around a fire in preparation for smores making in a future session.

The children have also been very busy baking tasty cheese pinwheels for the last cafe of this school year.
