We celebrated both halloween and bonfire night with some nature crafts and activities. We began by sharing ideas for a firework action game that saw us moving and sounding like rockets, bangers and whizzers.
We helped each other make natural sparklers using sticks and colourful autumn leaves and flowers.
There was a picture trail of natural things that are sometimes thought to be strange, slimy or scarey (like fungi, slugs and spiders). We used the ideas to draw halloween posters. Using conkers and ribbons, we created brightly coloured fireworks which we threw and watched streak across the sky. It was surprising how far they travelled once we worked out the best hurling technique!Thank you to those of you who have brought in seeds for our meadow. Please keep collecting.
