It has been another very busy week in Fox class. Tuesday saw our Christmas start in earnest as we headed to St Benet’s Church for our Christingle service. We shared this celebration with many of our parents, making for a great community feel to our service – Thank you.
Back at school the festivities continued with our traditional Christmas lunch in our transformed banquet hall.
Throughout the week, we have continued to polish our nativity production ready for next week. Everyone is working so hard and given that some have more than one part to play, the memorisation of lines is incredible.
Amongst all this we have also managed to work on our science topic of ‘Inheritance and Evolution’ whilst finalising our fantasy writing with our own version of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Last week’s topic day at Bacton rounded up this term’s learning. We were able to play a long role as an office, pilot, land girl or evacuee as we were enveloped in the 1940s with all things memorable from that time.
We even acted out in our role as land girls milking, soldiers defending and war personnel code breaking. It really did make World War II come alive for a day!
