We’ve had a fantastic week back after our half-term and have all been working super hard!
This week we have been looking at feelings in our PSHE unit and have all been keen to understand why people might feel different emotions. We played a game using the colour monsters to help us to understand how we might feel in different situations. The children really enjoyed getting up and moving around the classroom and working collaboratively. We also produced some of our own feelings monsters using a variety of mediums such as paints and pastels.
We have been continuing with our addition and subtraction unit in our maths lessons, and have all been super-star mathematicians this week! Reception went
on a bear hunt in our classroom to find and order the teddy bears to 10. They have also been working really hard at practising their fine motor skills along with letter formations.
We also made some time to discuss Halloween celebrations and had the opportunity to get creative using collage techniques and practising our brush skills.
We are looking forward to a jam-packed half-term and can’t wait to share our achievements.
