We’ve had another fantastic week in Otter class and have really been getting into the festive spirit. On Tuesday we ventured down to the church for our Christingle service and had a go at making our own Christingles. It was lovely to see so many faces there, a big thank you for supporting as always. When we got back to school we enjoyed a scrumptious Christmas lunch altogether, Foxes did an amazing job of turning their classroom into a banqueting hall! We all enjoyed coming together to pull crackers, tell jokes and share a delicious meal.
On Thursday we all came together again for a dress rehearsal of our Christmas performance. We really enjoyed getting into our costumes and seeing everything come together. We have also been superstar singers this week and have been practising our songs daily.
In our English lessons we have been finishing off our Jolly Christmas Postman unit. Towards the end of the week we all had great fun forming a recipe and method for Mr Wolf’s pancakes for his festive party. In our Maths we have been finishing off our addition and subtraction block with some Christmas themed problem solving. We have also made time to do lots of festive activities, in the hopes of creating a goody bag to bring home for our grown-ups. We have had lots of paint, glitter, card, ribbon, salt dough out and look forward to making gingerbread cookies next week. We have also enjoyed counting down the days until Christmas and sharing our excitement through our class advent calendar.
