Otter Class Weekly Updates 04/03/24

We’ve had a brilliant first week back and have dived straight back into our learning. Otter class have had a super productive week and have settled back into classroom routines with ease.

We’ve been focussing on RE this week and have been learning about Judaism and how Jewish people show care. We have learnt about Tzedakah and created some beautifully decorated Tzedakah charity boxes.

In our English we have been analysing a non-chronological report about wombats. Year 1 and 2 have produced some amazing sentences. We have been researching too and have found out lots of interesting facts. Did you know, wombats poo is cube shaped!

In our Maths we have been continuing to master division. This week we have looked at dividing with remainders. Reception children have been looking at measurement, starting the week with length and finishing on height. To support these we have looked at stories such as Superworm, The Enormous Crocodile and Jack & the Beanstalk. On Friday we even had a go at making our own beanstalks, and then ordered them from shortest to tallest.
