We’ve had another fantastic week in Otter class and have been working hard as always. We started a new Art unit in our topic lessons and had great fun learning all about dot painting and the range of techniques used to create this. We even had a go at creating our own which was a great success. We started a new text in our English lessons called ‘Diary of a Wombat’ and have spent the week imagining what it would be like if we were all wombats! Year 1 and 2 have produced some super sentences and Reception children have been thinking of descriptive words and actions to go alongside these. In our maths we have started to look at division, through investigating equal groups by grouping and sharing. We have had great fun sorting, sharing and grouping the animals in our small world corner. Reception children have been continuing to master their numbers and have been learning about matching pairs. Reception children made good use of the better weather earlier in the week and enjoyed being able to get back outside and make use of fantastic outdoor area. We all look forward to continuing our learning next week and enjoying a well deserved rest over half term.
